best rock\metal vocalist ever?

Who Made Who
Thunderstruck
Back In Black
You Shook Me All Night Long

Great tunes

Sorry mate, but already had this convo with a friend a few weeks ago. Back in black was the only track I could think of.

Never heard the first one at all afaik, second is mmm boring(I had to youtube it, got bored and watched Whole Lotta Rosie instead and ogled Bon), the third is ok and I always though YSMANL was another band.

Bon Scott and Bob Plant are the only two singers who can make my stomach flutter.

Bon and AC/DC were perfect for each other IMO. I don't think he could have fitted into any band quite as well.

Best metal vocalists? There's no end of 'em.

Heavy as f**k; Phil Anselmo or Burton C. Bell (maybe that guy from Machine Head, though I haven't heard so much of their stuff).

Screaming; several to choose from. Rob Halford / Ian Gillan (in the days of "Child In Time" / Ronnie James Dio / Bruce Dickinson. Probably Dio shades it for sheer power.

Bluesy; Robert Plant / Rod Stewart (with Jeff Beck) / Paul Rodgers of Free.

Hard rock; Blackie Lawless of WASP / Roger Daltrey / Planty again.

Lemmy is in a category of his own, as is Ozzy. You can't really categorise either of them.

My personal favourite is Robert Plant (in case nobody noticed), but I must give a hoourable mention to this gentleman:

I'll pm later :)
Not that good - the wheelchair beckons :(

Still, I used to go for drinkies with Steve Marriott

I used to know someone who played in his football team. He said Marriott ended up less well off financially than he should have been because he was so generous. He thought nothing of giving away guitars, for example.

He was a great singer too, though I don't know much of what he did after the Small Faces (Humble Pie etc.).

i say chris cornell. I love his voice i do.

Just sit yourself down, open a can of beer, put on a pixies record and brace yourself for the crushing realisation of how utterly utterly wrong you are and how Chris Cornell is a pointless cuntsock not fit to be the understudy for third roadie on the left in a primary school musical based on the songs of Pearl Jam.
