For pure vegetarian food that is pushing the boundaries without the fru-fru BS of many of the places mentioned above, its very hard to beat 222 Veggie Vegan http://www.222veggievegan.com/ By far the best proper vegetarian restaurant in London. How does that work? You pay £40-odd for the menu it says, does that include the wine that they've stuck alongside the dishes as well? Or would you pay extra for that?

The spring menu says this at the bottom, so no then:

"Wines by the glass to accompany your meal £28.00 or £24.00 excluding dessert wine."

crikes. i was thinking about taking the missus for a swanky meal but that's getting into some seriously big bucks. let us know whether you think its worth it won't you?

i went to morgan m about two years ago and it was a great meal

(I'm with gajin girl about the serving though - every dish was delievered with a flourish and a description)

it was worth the money

atmosphere relaxed and casual despite theatrics with presentation

I went to Vanilla Black before Christmas and was a bit disappointed ...
