Michael Owen has also won World Player of the Year. But you'd be stupid, or his mum, to claim he belongs in the top tier of best footballers EVER.

I always loved Maldini. Take the ball off the defender, knock it into touch. Safety first, always. Cool as. Never really angry.

Still prefer Gaetano Scirea, and his evil partner Claudio Gentile.

Best was the best player in the world for a couple of year, no doubt. But bes ever. nah.

Cantona doesn't even come into it for me, the like of bergkamp, zola and dicanio are his level rather then the zidanes, peles and maradonas of the world.

well bergkamp is the best player i've ever seen in the flesh. phenomenally talented, visionary, graceful, wonderful player.

and i saw best, moore and marsh play once.

(admittedly for fulham against plymouth. but my point stands)
