Best place to visit in the US ?

Umm, it's very strange. Feels like an extended suburban strip mall - even the 'city center' is all tumbleweed-filled vacant lots. So yeah, not my favourite city either. I went to SF last weekend & it totally represented everything I'm currently pining for.

Am learning to fly here, and it's a good spot for that, with the constant good weather and desert to fly over.

I lived there for the last two years. Hated the city, loved the desert scenery and the weather. Must be the hottest city in the world. But you can drive to some really interesting places: Bisbee, Jerome, Tombstone, Tuscon, Nogales, Flagstaff etc.

Yes, some good weekend & day trips have been going on. Next big trip is driving to Vegas... Heh.

You loved the weather? Did you leave during the summer? It's killing me, I really really miss fresh breezes and being able to walk outside.

I wouldn't call Ceuta the first world.

There's no international border in the world that matches the income disparity between the USA and Mexico.

a pedant notes:

Mexico isn't third world tho.

Income disparity - Israel/Palestine probly tops it

not been around much, but Washington DC is well worth visiting. Detroit for sightseeing (if you're into abandonment and urban decay it is the most incredible place in the world) and obv. New York City.

Would really love to go to the South-West!!!
