Best pixies track

Picking the best is pretty much an impossible task. Like asking which politician you'd like to shoot in the face first. Where do you even start?

I think I'd go for Where is My Mind, just because I didn't know it was part of the Fight Club score and I watched the film and loved every moment of it, and then Where is My Mind came on as the office blocks exploded, and for a few minutes I was transported to cinematic heaven

But it is a really silly thread idea  :D

I think the version of Into the White on the B-sides album deserves a special mention. Partly to gain me Pixies completist points and partly cos it kicks arse :)

ETA: damn you all - I should be going to bed but now I'm watching pixies videos on youtube

I've Been Waiting For You. a b side on the Velouria twelve inch which I got about 13 years ago. I have quite a few pixies 12"s.

Wide variety of opinion here! Goes to show what a great band they were, that they managed to produce such a variety of songs that people really love.My favourites are:

Where is my Mind?
Bone Machine
Dead
Is She Weird

I think that's all of 'em.

The thing that annoys me most about James Blunt is that, when he was on Top Gear recently, he actually came across as a fairly decent, amusing, self-effacing bloke, not the utter cunt we all wish he was in our hearts.

Still, musically; what a cunt.

Yeah he did seem down to earth and pretty genuine. Doesn't stop his music being bloody awful to the point of killing in the face.

My wife likes him

He's the one huge blemish on my Last FM list as a result.

'Is she weird?' is my favorite closely followed by their version of 'Winterlong'....even better than the original

for some reason it never shows up on threads of this type, but the answer is clearly 'vamos'

When I saw them live, Joey Santiago playd the solo for vamos by putting his guitar down and hitting it with drumsticks

Gouge Away
followed closely by Gigantic and The Happening

Actually, there are loads! I've just remembered how much I like the pixies. I might even stop listening to acid techno for the day and listen to them instead :)
