Best photo comp win of 2006

be that as it may one should be very careful to associate a photographer with a painter simply due to it's likeness to a particular painter's style and or a particular painting.

that being said...nightytime...droplights...=Hopper...classic, derivative (mostly negatively to the efforts of Hopper) and...and....and....pfffft!!!!!

Just noticed that of the 12 winners in 2006, only one person (Skim) had won before. This is really good as previously there tended to be a lot of repeat winners. Suppose it's a reflection of so many more people entering.

Hmm...finding it really difficult to choose as ever, think I'm going for lighterthief - East London Line Extension, Hackney 2006, but was a toss up between that and Danskis' night watch if I'm honest...

I've voted for Skim's in the end, because it makes me catch my breath every time I see it.

I don't even like photo comps that much - especially when there's lots of good photos in them. I mean, I like photo comps, because people post great photos, but the voting does my head in!

I'm going for aurora's, it looks somewhat biblical, with the light shinning on the water...

I must admit to not paying as much attention as I should to the photocomps, so I'm bloody bowled over by the quality.

There's 4 at least that I'd happily see win, so I'm voting for the one I'd most like to have on my wall..
