Best Party Depicted In A Film?

OK since this is expanding into TV club scenes... I always laugh at the use of industrial hardcore in the episode of Men Behaving Badly where student Deborah and her boyfriend go to a 'rave club' with Gary, Tony and Dorothy.

The whole thing lasts for about 10 seconds and ends with Gary puking over the camera viewpoint.

:D

I thought they were dancing to Pump Panel's remix of Confusion?

Hmm, according to wiki I think you might be right. For some reason I think I've made this mistake before. Where the hell was Bass in the Place played then? Hmmm...

ETA Apparently 'Bass in the Place' is actually called Operation Blade (Bass in the Place).. I think this is where i get confused..

Bass in the place was an incredibly shit 'remix' entirely cashing in on the film and using the sample from the excellent pump panel/new order track.

another vote for animal house:cool:

thinking about it though, considering the utter carnage of the rave and club scene of the last 20 years, the haul of club / party scenes in films is pretty shocking really.

is it coz film directors are mostly spods?

if we're doing club scenes... the first scene in Blade in the meat factory, where everyones dancing to Bass in the Place London and then the sprinklers start spraying blood and the vampires go crazy....

I always think this film makes being a vampire look

Jazz bar in Team America! Heh :D

Have you seen Danny Boyle's idea of a rave in Inspector Morse?
Truly terrible.
I read that the recent film Rise Of The Foot Soldier has the worst rave scene ever in it.

I suppose it doesn't really count as it was a real party but the amphitheatre jam at the end of Wildstyle is awesome.

I liked the hippies having a rave in Carry On Camping.

There are a few that have been missed - one that springs to mind is a brief scene in Bad Lieutenant where Harvey Keitel walks through a 1991 New York rave.

Can only judge by the aftermath, but the one Johnny Depp & Benicio del Toro wake up after in Fear and Lothing looked fun. Am trying to find a still of Raoul Duke with the gator tail attached to him...

A quick google says the original is the crystal method one, but the remix which is the one in blade (with the new order lyrics) is the pump panel reconstruction mix - though I've got the 12" and I can't remember it saying crystal method on it anywhere.

Aha! Thanks for clearing that up. I shall not make the mistake again :)
