Best Opening Credits

The're the world's most fearless fighting team,
The're heros in a half shell and the're green,
When the evil Shredder attacks,
These turtle boys don't cut 'em no slack......

(is that the right use of the're? I am rubbish at grammar).

Panic Room (the 3D credits, now being copied by Fringe and a few others I imagine)

Watchmen (brilliant condensing of the backstory)

Buffy (I can't help but smile when I hear that theme tune)

Lost (ok, fairly boring I'll grant you, but when the show first started those credits were the only indication of how weird things were about to get)

i like what they did in Napoleon Dynamite. it's not the most exciting intro credits but it's very sweet. also i like the thought that someone must have spent ages making all those little plates of food and general bric a brac.

also surely the Simpsons couch gag collection deserves a mention, if only for quantity...

Are we talking actual title sequence before the credits, or the actual credits themselves?

If it's the actual credits themselves, I think Ed Wood takes some beating

As a seven year old I always found the opening credits to The Six Million Dollar Man profoundly exciting.

Sopranos gets my vote for more recent TV.

This thread does seem to be having a bit of an identity crisis.

Credits - Superbad was excellent
Title sequence - Raiders of the Lost Ark - how can this thread have got that far before this was mentioned?

No one has mention James bond credits yet - gave me the right horn as a kid they did!

Also, the title sequence and credits from the new Wolverine film are brilliant - best bit some say
