Best mascara?

I've also got YSL volume effect mascara. It's rubbish. Really wet, straightens my lashes (when I've just curled them), doesn't add volume. Just rubbish basically.

Feeling fed-up with panda-eyes, I bought some Revlon Colourstay mascara. It doesn't give much volume but it is absolutely indelible. Nothing will remove it. I reckon Swarfega might but it's not a risk I'm going to take.

Before I used Lancome Flextencils mascara but its fuckin xpensive! Now I use Loreal Lash Architect the one in the black tube... Its really good.. I swear by it! And the Bourjois Coup De Theatre

i use lash architect too and I live it, I have really long lashes that are really light, slap this stuff on and lovely long black lashes, it can clump a bit so scrap the excess off back into the thingie, I do find however that I run out of it pretty fast

ooh, I'm jealous, my eyelashes are right stumpy buggers.

My boyfriend has got these ridiculous Bambi lashes - sometimes I think of plucking them out whilst he is sleeping and making myself a nice set of falsies! :D

Do it!! :D

L'oreal 'False lash effect' I found to be pretty good. Long lasting and gave a strong lash-line.

Gawd that new Max Factor one 'as used by the make-up artist on Memoirs of a Geisha' with some 'revolutionary new brush', gold packaging, fuck knows what it's called, on special in Boots - seem to do the trick and without too much panda eyes below. Before that, Maybelline - either Great Lashes or the one that's USP is it doesn't give you panda eyes - and they're right, it doesn't - but it also seems to take feckin ages to get a decent amount of cover on your lashes.
:) have you used to new max factor one,,, coz it does look good and i was thinking about getting it,,,,

I have nice long eyelashes(when i dont burn them) they are my best feature,,normally i use Maybelline(pink, green top),,then the max factor(red bottle) that kate moss advertised(its her fault i bought it and it was crap  )
tried the white/black one,, did not like it at all,,,
so now i am looking for a new one that will give me extra fluttering power :D

Thing is those women behind the counter scare me. :(

<remembers Victoria Wood sketch: 'I'd like something for enlarged pores'

'How about a darning needle & some pink wool?'>

They scare me too. Less so since I discovered the art of getting free samples of expensive slap off of them. :D

I got it today, it's called masterpiece, it's good and does cover each lash, it doesn't clump and feels light, I personally prefer my mascara a bit thicker but several layers should do the trick

Seeing the ad for that masterpiece mascara with its freaky brush made me think...

Do people switch hands when mascara-ing each eye? or do you twist your hand round so you get the brush in the right direction for each eye?

Me, I don't do either. So the tip of the brush gets used for the inner bits of my lashes on eye, and for the outer lashes on the other eye.

So a brush where one end is specifically designed for your inner lashes would be no help to me.

Am I doing this all wrong?

I like mine abit thick(not clumpy) but it does look/sound good so i think i'll try it Spacey

as for applying it,, i think i twist my hand,,sometimes swap hands if i'm feeling adventurous,,,I go abit mad on mine coz i love my long lashes(but have many other flaws) so keeping a cotton ear bud thingy is great for when the brush stabs my nose or eyelid,, leaving a horrible black splogg,,ideal to get it off

the maybelline with the pink body & green cap is a goodun...lasts for YEARS (literally) although last week i bought a no.7 one in boots & it's quite nice - plus i got a freebie makeup bag thingy with loadsa cute stuff in it cos i spent €22
