I remember seeing Ian Curtis. Hit fitted on stage at the Rainbow & a lot of people thought it was part of the act. :(

Nick cave has got a definite presence - saw him at glasto in 94, im not a huge fan but he was mesmerising.
Saw the who a couple of years ago and even a 70 year old townshend was still exuding pent up anger and violence.

Actually, Wilko Johnson was the real star when I saw them (several times). Couldn't take my eyes off the motorised maniac!

I've seen Dave Grohl play live with the Foo Fighters. He's very much the Robbie Williams of rock music, only to be brutally honest Robbie has better tunes.

Also saw him on drums with QOTSA. Fucking brilliant, he should never have given up the day job :(

Genesis p orridge is totally incredible when on form, and utterly ludicrous when not. Sometimes they veer between the two positions in the same show. I kind of like that.

Oh, just seen ‘or presence’ In the title.

Bootsy Collins hands down. Obviously not a front man for either band I’ve seen him with (Funkadelic and Dee-Lite) but as a 6feet something bass playing stage presence...no competition.

If you can go on stage with George Clinton and Garry Shider in a nappy and still be the one everyone is staring at...

Really anyone who does worthwhile music on stage has charisma and presence I find, whether they're shy or outgoing or whatever. Obviously throwing your own shit around and wanking in a corner helps, but it is not vital.
