I'm taking my toddler to Endorse it which has got loads of kid-friendly activities and it's not very big so I hope I won't lose him![]()

I think that's a good idea. Endorse-It's tiny and the kids area looked good. Sheo's lad was having a good time whenever I saw him at the last one.![]()

I started going to womad as a toddler and that was 26 years ago! it's good fun
This year we will be doing Camp Bestival instead though for a change and because its supposed to be child friendly

yeah we are![]()
- I think we're doing 5 festivals this summer
but womad and camp bestival clash so we chose to do camp bestival.

first that spring to mind are WOMAD and Shambala. My BF took his son to WOMAD first time as a toddler he is now 7 and becoming a veteran of many festivals.
doesn't contradict the fact that the kids area is large with loads going on
Tort's advice is all good. Endorse It, WOMAD and especially Camp Bestival are all very good for kids. Also Beautiful Days, though a little on the pricey side for familes, has a lot going on for kids. The fact that it's the Levellers' festivaldoesn't contradict the fact that the kids area is large with loads going on

I don't think I want to expose such young minds to the horror of the Levellers.![]()
, but there's plenty non Levellers stuff there anyway including fior kids -- just in case other parents might be looking out ...

Guess it depends where you're camping. I've only ever camped in family camping and it's always seemed really easy - not too far to drag everything from the car park and next door to the field with the kid's tent in it. The fairground was in the middle last year but you're right about pushing laden prams up to the 'healing' field or whatever it was called (where the cider bus was anywayAfraid I have to say that I disagree with Sweet FA over Big Chill being kid friendly. The kids tent is stuck away at one end of the site and kids aren’t even allowed in a lot of the venues in the evenings. Plus the site is big & hilly & not very buggy friendly.
). I can see it would be a gigantic pain if you were camped anywhere except the family field. I have to say though, it was better last year when Sunrise had a field; loads of (free!) stuff for kids to do and the 24hr cafe was a godsend at 6am, trying to find something to do with toddler early risers
Best baby and toddler area at any festival imoI dont rate the beautiful days kids area in comparison to Shambala-which caters for very small kids and babies.

[re Shambala] Best baby and toddler area at any festival imo
e2a Last year's BD had a superb baby and toddlers' area in the family camping fields, but it won't be there this year.
