best extremely disturbing albums

Ah the One with many names. Foetus has made a pile of pretty good records over the years and more than that had loads of good ideas which have been nicked by all and sundry and for which he never seems to get the credit.
I can't think of him been that disturbing though it was always, well, camp basically. enjoyably ridiculous.

Yep, a fat goth elvis :D

so you're alive, then? the Deptford blast left you unharmed?

Yeah it's up and running, he has a studio in florida. He's a total gent.

A few months ago, Kramer offered to mix a mate's album. I'm not sure if it ever actually came to fruition, and I can't remember how much money he was asking, but anyway, it seemed a pretty reasonable deal to me at the time. :)

unscathed, although I did get to share a bus with ALL THE PEOPLE in south London.

Don't recall Thirwell ever being fat mind

Tab of acid, bottle of whisky, and the Painkiller E.P.'s

Sit in a dark room with the speakers at the other end

Or Clock DVA is another one

Goretex - The Art of Dying anyone?

I'd second/third coil, throbbs.

reckon foetus/wiseblood has his moments. The back of Motorslug, that three chord thing for the entire side. It's very Steve Reich I realised when I had more musical knowledge - ie became aged

and add early Laibach - around Macbeth. Not the kitten stompy stuff which has all become a bit samey.

and The Very Things. Who could not see the video for 'the bushes scream' on the tube in the 80s without being disturbed. though it's also very silly of course.

eh? it's a cool album, but i can't see how it's disturbing in any way..

Agreed, it's a rocking album rather than a disturbing one.

For me, it would have to be either Cheesy's original nomination of In Utero, or PJ Harvey's Rid of Me.

I don't really find industrial/ambient type stuff disturbing. Cool, atmospheric etc, but not disturbing.

see, i find absolutely nothing disturbing about either of those. The Harvey album especially is a work of absolute genius - possibly her best. But disturbing? no..

for actual physical effect, "A Pox On You" the song by the Silver Apples actually makes me feel sick, it is a great song too.

most disturbing song i heard recently is;

Immortal Technique - Dance with the Devil.

fan-vids are on youtube (site not working atm)
slow start, but be patient its going somewhere...

But Rid of Me is so intense, so 'inside her voice', perhaps more than anything else I can think of, so damned raw. There really is nothing else like it.

Yep, the final two tracks (The Visitations and The Black Mass: An Electric Storm In Hell) are pretty spooky.

Yes, they are.

Here come the FLEAS

That's the one, it's almost Pythonesque.

I'm very impressed by the musical knowledge of you two btw, this is a pretty obscure album IMO.

Here's the band's wiki if anyone's interested, with a link to the wiki album entry (which is a stub);

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Noise_(band)

Stop press; the wiki's been deleted for some reason.

That's dark. Crikey.

Venom - the orginal Satanic/Blackmetal band[/IMG]

They weren't disturbing, they were inspiring, i reckon. Is there a better rhyming couplet in heavy metal than:

Black is the night, metal we fight
Power amps set to explode

I very much doubt it. Venom and Raven, proper heavy stuff.

Damaged from Damaged with Henry Rollins of Black Flag giving it some serious intent is quite disturbing as well....i reckon anyway.

....my name is Henry..... :( :)
