    Hey Urbs,

Where are the best car boot sales in London / SE UK? My Mrs is going to give to birth to benzo number 2 soon and so I need to find cheap baby stuff (as well as other useless stuff).

To be honest car boots have had their day. It's all brand new tools(poorly made) golf clubs and snide ornaments. One of the biggest is at Taplow near Maidenhead.
Good luck with your search though!

I'm not very familiar with car boot sales but there is one every weekend and Bank holiday in the playground at Princess May School on the Stoke Newington/ Dalston border, on the main A10 road and corner of Princess May Road I've been to a few times. It's not massive but quite well attended.

The wooden plane is an absolute cracker! £1 each.

Every second Sunday in summer, Biggin hill
It's big, well over a hundred pitches

The problem with bootfairs is people go at 7am and by the time I ever get there (noon or later) they're cleared out. Who knows, maybe they're shit at 7am too.

Deptford flea market is good and regular
There's some really good clothes rails there these days.

There's also Nine Elms which isn't really a car boot but is by far the best sunday market.

Yeah, that's a fairly massive one. All sorts for sale there. From socialist pamphlets to antique prams.

Prices aren't too bad either. Actually it's quite a nice day out, last time we went on to visit Chiswick House gardens, Hogarths house and had a wander along the river.

Huge one on the A3 near Burpham, north of Guildford, every Sunday. No idea what’s on offer though, house is full to bursting with tat as it is.
