If you have spybot makesure you use the immunise thingy fairly quickly after downloading opera.

Then you basicly wont collect any spyware(or i dont anyway)

i have no issues at all with IE8. it works 100% of the time and have never had a nasty as aresult of using it.

however i prefer chrome. Its just a bit faster.

dont like firefox - earlier editions sucked up ram and it all started feeling a bit bloated. may be better now but i dont need a 3rd browser

I switched over to Chrome last week as Firefox just didn't seem to run well on my PC, it had huge problems with Facebook and every time I tried to write a message the whole PC would just grind to a halt. The same thing would happen if I tried to load certain online shopping sites like asos. Also, it couldn't load another website I use a lot at all, I was only getting half the links that should be there.

Chrome is a nightmare though! So far it's told me that urban has malware and wouldn't let me proceed and sometimes when I try and use Facebook chat it tells me Facebook is a phishing site and goes into a loop of insanity.:confused: It also still wont load this website which firefox couldn't either.

So I'm using IE more and more as it ends up being the most stable and reliable browser! I can't even remember why I stopped using IE in the first place, can someone remind me why everyone choses other browsers?

all those work fine in my chrome browser

Opera all the way, Chrome doesnt work properly, IE is a mess in so many ways and Firefox is Opera without half the functionality so you have to fuck about with extensions to make it do things properly. Anythings a better choice than IE tho.

I used to use Opera, but prefer Firefox now simply because it works well and I am used to it. Chrome is ok, but I did not see any benefits it had over Firefox so dont use it.

Chrome on Windows, Safari on OS X.

Used to be Firefox, but the damn thing is so bloated nowadays, I can't be bothered with it.

Never really liked Opera.

I've been using Chrome for months now. It's v good on a netbook with a slow processor and small screen, because it's fast and there's very little junk taking up valuable screen space. When I have to use IE it's horrible, takes ages to load and there's a nag screen asking me to upgrade or do something or other that I always refuse, then it takes aaages to load up the homepage... switching it on takes enough time to make a cup of tea. Chrome takes a couple of seconds - bish, bash, bongo.

Opera. Because I'm used to it. It's not actually any better than Firefox, it's just that I've been using it for over a decade and it's comfortable.

Before engorging with all extensions, be warned some of them were apparently coded by monkeys, and will cause conflicts with other extensions, leak memory like crazy (I've seen an extension that caused a new instance with just the google homepage to waste almost 300MB of RAM) or simply crash the browser. In short, if you experience any problem, there's a very high chance some extension is at fault.

It's still my primary browser, but unless the FF devs go back to their roots and discover what made it popular in the first place, in two years or so I'll probably be using Chrome.
