I know some of you subsequently realised. The rest of you, kindly sign up to the editor's "reading the OP" special needs class.

What have i done now????

I been out all day.........

The Police (Stewart Copland-American)
The Hot Band (Emylou Harris band with Albert Lee -English)

More to come

Done Lying down.

Jack Plug (as he was known) is a yank, the rest are british.

I claim the £5 for reading the OP and would spend it on some glue to re-stick the semi chewed bus tickets back to the ceiling of my mildewed box room where I have attempted to created a scale papier mache model of Mount Vesuvius but upside down using only discarded items bearing the blackpool transport emblem, but, in a cunning twist, using no tap or rain water to help me.

Also:

The God Machine - Robin Proper-Sheppard is American
Stereolab - Leticia Sadier is French, Mary Hanson was Australian
Nirvana - Big John Duncan of the Expoited is Scottish (he played one show as their guitarist, but even so)
Thin Lizzy - Scott Gorham is American

eta: Although the rest of Thin Lizzy were Irish, so that doesn't count.

i.e. bands in which some, but not all, the members were British.

Mine:-

Jimi Hendrix Experience

Velvet Underground

Monkees

You can't claim the Jimi Hendrix experience. For that matter, you can't claim The VU or the Monkees.

[Where did he get my beads from?]

Au contraire, guitarist Brian Robertson - who was in the classic kickin' 1974-78 line up - was a Scot

QUOTE]

Two of the three JHExperience were British: Mitch Mitchell and Noel Redding. (You must be thinking of the later Band of Gipsies).

One of the VU - John Cale - was Welsh.

Davy Jones - whom you even depict - was from Manchester.

And:

Gorrilaz - Danger Mouse is American
Razorlight - Bjorn Agren is Swedish

Well if Razorlight get a mention then we most certainly have to have The Rakes (drummer Lasse is Finnish)

I'm pretty sure the God Machine were all from San Diego, but were just based in London.

No mention of Therapy (if NI does count), My Bloody Valentine, Curve?

I didn't actually know DM was in Gorillaz (I'm not saying he's not, btw), but even so, Del (Russel, I think?) is American, too.

as an aside to this british thing, i was once working in denmark for a bit and was in the pub with my co-worker and we were talking about music

i was taking the piss out of danish music saying the biggest band (this was pre-Aqua of course) was D.A.D. to which he threw a schnapps glass on the floor and shouted

DON'T FORGET METALLICA YOU FUCKER!
