Ecclesiastes -

I saw the tears of the oppressed -
and they have no comforter
power was on the side of their oppressors
and they have no comforter
And I declared that the dead
who had already died
are happier than the living
who are still alive
But better than both
is he who has not yet been
who has not seen the evil
that is done under the sun

Song of Songs and (bits of) Psalms are pretty good. The NT gets pretty samey after a while tho, that said Acts and Revelation are alright, John can be too if you're in the "mystic" frame of mind.

- Jonathan.

Well Psalms but I like Corinthians I as well:
But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

It's worth learning all of Revelation so you can babble effectively on public transport.
