best beer garden in south london ?

well the first time we went in there after the refurb we thought the bar manager was an obnoxious tosser and the sevice was crap. but i've been in there a few times since then and it's been fine and the staff have been perfectly friendly and polite. not had any food but have a mate who goes in there quite regularly who really rates it, and he'd certainly have a good moan if he thought otherwise :D

their macaroni cheese is nice by all accounts.
they do a nice lamb thingy in there.
i have to say i'm only ever in there when i'm out of it.

do kiddies have to begone by a certain hour?

just found this :D
'Which other pub can claim to have hosted a petting zoo, bouncy castle and a sports day (with egg and spoon and three legged races) in its large garden during the past few months? Even when there is'nt a special event on the schedule, you'll find a childrens play area (with climbing frames and wooden bridge) in the safe and secure landscaped gardens out back.'

i will go if they have egg and spoon race

i don't know - i've seen kids there, but i can't remember any signs.
don't trust me though, every time i go there it's cos i've been chucked out of an after party, so my memory ain't too hot.

well next time you're down there, OU, give me and the missus a shout - we're only five minutes walk away, we can come and see you and see how battered you look

The Prince of Wales in Cleaver Square?

Lovely to sit out on the grass, but the clientele might not always be to everyone's liking. It's nice to keep the local residents awake though.
