Best Anti-Virus Software for PC?

Don't get me wrong - I know Linux is more secure, that's why I use it. I don't have AV software installed because I don't need it to check documents I'm sending to Windows users and I don't install random apps without knowing what they are. It's just that it's not true to say that Linux is completely immune, and believing that it is could cause a naive user to install random apps without knowing what they are, thinking that it is entirely safe to do so. It's not.

I it depends on if it came from an official repositories or one that you added manually - that sounds weird :D

The getdeb site is possibly open to abuse?

Or you could just practice safe computer use, use a secure browser and ensure you patch your software.

Mind you I forget how many malware varients I got last year. Think it was probably about 40 or so.

The thing that irks me that despite catching and submitting first known varients to different Anti X vendors (major players), not one is named after me.
