Best album title

oh and I always liked "Things May Come and Things May Go But The Art School Dance Goes on Forever"
I remeber that album, can't remember who it's by though!

I like 'The Life and Times of Country Joe McDonald and the the Fish from Haight Ashbury to Woodstock' It tells you everything you need to know about that album.

I also like Aliens Ate My Buick, by Thomas Dolby. (They did eat mine, no honestly they really did.)

Edit - with "A Grand Don't Come for Free" and "Definitely Maybe" joint second.

Don't forget "Standing on the Shoulders of Giants" - nicking your album title from the writing around the edge of the £2 coin is about as bad as it gets.

I have to second Hairway to Steven.

There's something very satisfying about "Bleach".

Who was the singer about 6 years ago who had an album title that was about 200 words? Some annoying singer-songwriter type singer...

"When The Pawn Hits The Conflicts He Thinks Like A King What He Knows Throws The Blows When He Goes To The Fight And He'll Win The Whole Thing 'Fore He Enters The Ring There's No Body To Batter When Your Mind Is Your Might So When You Go Solo, You Hold Your Own Hand And Remember That Depth Is The Greatest Of Heights And If You Know Where You Stand, Then You Know Where To Land And If You Fall It Won't Matter, Cuz You'll Know That You're Right" by Fiona Apple.

Dozy tart.

I'm not a massive fan of the band, but Fishbone's "Give a Monkey a Brain and He'll Swear He's the centre of the universe" was a good title too...
Similarly, the Mekons' 'The Quality of Mercy Is Not Strnen'

I like odduns :)

songs about my cats

the action packed mentalist brings you the fucking jams

Kill sound before sound kills you

music has the right to children

my life in a hold in the ground

one word fire extinguisher

umbra sumus

francis the mute

ummagumma

never trust a hippy

dub take the voodoo

It was worse than that, 'Standing On the Shoulder of Giants'. Shoulder was singular. It doesn't even make grammatical sense.

'Listen Without Prejudice Volume 1' is the most pompous title ever.

"Never Mind The Bollocks Here's The Sex Pistols"
Carter USM - "A World Without Dave"
Andrew WK - "I Get Wet"
Girls Aloud - "Sound Of The Underground" for its irony.

Superfuzz Bigmuff was a good one, and Taking Drugs To Make Music To Take Drugs To was also possibly the most emphatic does what it says on the spine.

how about Hapshash and the Coloured Coat Featuring The Human Host And The Heavy Metal Kids - by Hapshash and the Coloured Coat

although their posters were better than their music ...

As was, indeed, the title, sound and lyrics to the TUNE :

'Fat Bastard' (sung to the tune of 'Blockbuster' :D )

That's what they were all about though man!! Gratuitous drunken noisy offensiveness.

I never liked em, honest ;)

Not right on bloke music if ever there was such a thing. :D

What the Ramones would have been if they'd come from Macclesfield!
