Best actor as God

i didn't like it that much, i thought that it was too clumsy with the opinions about religion and much as i like kevin smith and i always wish that he had done more with himself, when he tries to be ambitious i just wished he was making jokes about star wars

Ralph Richardson was great but my favourite - it was shown on TV but was a stage play - was Brian Glover in Tony Harrison's "The Mysteries".

After all everyone knows that God is a Yorkshireman!

Maurice Roeves as God in the Granton Star Cause from The Acid House (one of the only good things about that movie)

God: You fucked this one up, ya daft cunt.
Boab: Eh? What?
God: You. Bob Coyle. No house, no job, no bird, no mates, police record, sore ribs - all in the space of a few hours. Nice one.
Boab: How the fuck do you know my business, eh? What the fuck's it got to do with you, eh?
God: It's my fuckin' business to know. I'm God.
Boab: Away to fuck, ya old radge.
God: Fuckin' hell... another wise cunt.

Why not, the other one surely is. :p

Well that reminds me of a cracking film starring Peter O'Toole, the name of which escapes me for now but I expect someone here could name it, were he plays a Lord who believes he's Jesus and everyone believes he's quite mad, especially as he does all the things you might expect Jesus to do.

There's a switch and he ends up believing he's Satan, and becomes a right nasty bastard, and then everyone is happy because he's acting so much more normally.

After all everyone knows that God is a Yorkshireman!

That would explain third world poverty...
