Best 90s 'cult' film?

As far as I can work out, "cult" in this thread seems to mean: "films that my generation loved that shocked my parents' generation."

La Haine, absolutely wonderful French film released same year as Pulp Fiction, should have won half the awards but didnt :(

I would say that films like Reservoir Dogs, Pi, Fargo and Trainspotting are all cult films

I know that they had massive promotion and big budgets, but they were aimed at people who don't normally have films aimed at them and they worked

We could argue about the meaning of cult films, but I think it would be better if we just got all nostalgic about great 90s films that weren't hollywood :D:D

Labyrynth has gotta be the biggest cult film for women of a certain age, surely? I don't think I've ever met one who doesn't absolutely love it.

Buffalo 66
Office Space

Bufalo 66 would be good if it didn't have Vincent Gallo in it and he hadn't directed it :D

oh and if it was set in a skyscraper full of terrorists instead of a small town

Come orrrrrrrrrn! It's a great film and Gallo is hilarious in it! Christina Ricci made me fall in love with her all over again watching it as well.

Was it because you openly compared her to Christina Ricci?
I had the same problem with a dunce of a fella about Kylie once :D
