Another vote for Ferris Bueller, also About Last Night, St Elmos Fire and The Breakfast Club are all favourites for me.

Some of my (rather predictable) favourite 80's films:

Airplane!
This Is Spinal Tap
Blood Simple
Down By Law
The Long Good Friday
Withnail And I
Fitzcarraldo
Do The Right Thing
An American Werewolf In London
Betty Blue
Paris, Texas
Blue Velvet
Bladerunner
The Man With Two Brains

Somehow, I managed to get through the entire eighties without seeing virtually any action blockbusters or John Hughes teen comedies. It's a miracle! :D

Some other 80's films I like(d):

Beetlejuice
Out Of The Blue
Ghosts... Of The Civil Dead
The Shining
Shogun Assassin
The Long Riders
Santa Sangre
Stir Crazy
Killer Klowns From Outer Space
Parents
Drugstore Cowboy
Last Exit To Brooklyn
Wild Style
Mad Max 1 & 2
Society
The Elephant Man
The Killer
Heathers
Bad Taste
Meet The Feebles
Body Heat
The Buddhist Fist
Escape From New York
Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure

Eat The Rich
A Chinese Ghost Story
Tron

Sadly it's actualy a 90's film

Yeah, I wanted to include The Warriors (-but that was 1979), and Miami Blues (-but that was 1990).

Could've sworn they were '80 and '89, respectively. :o

Ghostbusters
Goonies
Gremlins ( If Gremlins 2 wasn't made in 1990 then it would have been the best film of the 80's  )

Theres some more but you don't get much better than those 3

Agree with lots of choices:

Witness
Do the Right Thing
Blade Runner
Wall Street
Trading Places

and a lot more...

It has to be Weird Science.

I'm sure there's still geeks all over the world with bras on their heads and a Bratz doll wired into their Pentium 4 trying to create a woman. (Would it be Kelly Brook these days?)
