Porky's
Adventures in Babysitting (is this 1980's, well I liked it when I was younger, and Elizabeth Shue is hot in it)
Bachelor Party (Tom Hanks' finest performance, just watch the subtle nuances during the donkey shagging scene, truly a master craftsman)

I think you must be older than me :D

Probably not by much, I was only born at the start of the glorious 80's.

(Plus I did film at Uni so watched most of the films mentioned then)
I was born in 1976, so you're not older than me. I think its your point in parentheses that is the key one. In the 1980s themselves I was too young to be watching Bachelor Party and Porkys. By the 1990s, there were other distractions.

What is the best 1980s Comedy Adventure film?

Some suggestions for your consideration:

Back to the Future
Inner Space
Flight of the Navigator
Short Circuit
Ghostbusters
Goonies

Flight of the Navigator is an excellent film, but I've never classed it as Comedy

It is SO Comedy Adventure. Pee Wee Harman does a comic turn in it. Together with Inner Space and Short Circuit it forms the Holy Trinity of definitive 1980s family-friendly science fiction comedy adventures.
