Benn - McClellan revisited

We're not going to see that many great fighers all around at the same time and fighting each other. The first eubank-benn fight was also pretty brutal. That was when i began to cotton onto what Eubanks was all about. People alway says Benn had the courage (and he did) but Eubank had it too.
Eubank had it in bundles, don't let his boxing is for mugs comment make you think otherwise. I remember a fight toward the end of his career when his face was swollen so much that he couldn't see out of one of his eyes. He must have done 4 round with one eye shut, a real fighter.

Benn's entrance is what does it for me, the look on his face sends shivers down my spine, he wasn't going in there to box, he wanted to teach McClellan a lesson in respect.

The hardest-punching middleweight I've ever seen, McClellan hit like a truck. I always remember Benn saying he'd never been hit like that before and that the very tendons in his NECK were aching from the punches. Tragic end for McClellan who didn't deserve that for all his indiscretions out of the ring. Epic yet brutal fight, puts today's champions in perspective.
