I loved the three Ben Folds Five albums but find his solo stuff a bit too, I dunno, whimiscal. Seems to have lost his attitude a bit with age.

Not a fan of their 'funny' covers but a lot of their original material is very good indeed.

I love "Whatever and Ever" especially "Battle of Who Could Care Less" and "Brick".

For some reason I though Brick was about drug addiction but was listening to a Ben Folds Live album and apparently abortion...

But yeah, like El Jefe says, some of the solo stuff is a bit twee - although when I'm feeling tired and emotional that tune "The Luckiest" at the end of the CD warms my cockles ; )
