Belly-button piercing for a 16-year-old

http://www.metalmorphosis.co.uk/

There's one in Selfridges, (is that too far?) you also get 10% off with a voucher printed from here http://www.metalmorphosis.co.uk/images/10_percent.jpg

That says 16 or under you must have parent/guardian though :(

I don't know any in the area you're talking about, there's one in the Granville arcade in Brixton, have a look and see what you think of it. There's also a tattooists on Acre Lane, I haven't used either place sorry. :o

have had a long chat with her and she's adamant she wants it done and she wants it done in London because all her friends in Ireland are getting infections  Says she's read all about it and knows the risk of infection blah blah blah

anyway, metalmorphosis according to that flyer will only pierce earlobes of 16-year-olds

if its done by an experienced piercer and she keeps it v clean it should be ok

Why would you want a 16 year old to get a belly button piercing? Are you worried if you or another don't go with her she will go get it done regardless? Maybe I am behind the times but I think it's way too young at 16 to have something like that which, imo, is on a woman sexually provocative.:(

I just think it is part of a slippery slope. Most girls are showing off their bellbuttons and more nowadays only because no-one put their foot down and said these kids are too young. They are travelling to Brazil at 17 and getting murdered, being left on beaches in India at 15 and getting murdered etc etc.

*salutes tearily*

Fantastic work.

I did!! I'm just saying that sometimes they say one thing and do another! :o:D

Oh right. Well she's at War Museum at the moment then going to Oxford Street, but she's going to get it done on Monday (before she goes back to Ireland). That way, hopefully, it won't spoil her dad's holiday as if she had it done today he'd be constantly worried about her touching it/getting infected etc.

It seems like she is a relatively level headed 16 year old. She has done research, understands the risks etc.

Its not something I would have done as I hate needles/operations etc etc.

She will need to keep it scrupulously clean and realise that somethings that she may have planned to do such as holidays to hot and dirty places. An ex had her nipples pierced and then went on an adventure holiday to Egypt. Her nips got severely infected due to ingress of Nile water and she was on a course of powerful antibiotics when she returned as well as having to bathe the nips in tea tree oil twice a day.

Her holidays are over for the year. She's been to Bulgaria for two weeks, 1 week in Paris for a school trip and now London, so she'll be stuck in Ireland for the foreseeable future :D

Figured it was probably better having it done at end of trip as well as she's up Oxford Street now probably trying on clothes, and will probably be up there more before she goes so could end up rubbing piercing while changing etc.

Don't want to go all the way to Camden so what about anywhere near the Museums in Kensington or anywhere around Oxford Street?

Tusk near Covent Garden, few friends have had tats and advanced piercings there iirc, good quality. Metal-morphosis in the area too. Oh, Hair by Fairy is also in covent garden and do piercings, not sure how good they are though.
