that's kind of what happened when I saw the video too - I just went "look at his face!!!! He's so CUTE!" and then decided the song was good too.
I'm a bit sick of it now though - heard too many versions last night.

Well you should, it's class. It's a pop song. Catchy. Nice lyrics not at all deep. It grows on you. It was timely in its appearance at the number one spot given the weather. That - especially the extent of the rain and the floods ("now that it's raining more than ever, you can stand under my umbrella ella ella") and the fact that a brolly was hardly going to be of much use during the floods, meant the song was somehow special in a hard to define kind of way.
Loads of people sing along to it.

I may well have heard it before but I have no way of knowing as it is completely unmemorable.
What the hell kind of pop tune is lacking a memorable chorus?? A rubbish one, that's what kind.
