That was exciting!!! 
Currently drying out in Yorkshire before we head on to Scotland for Knockengorroch.
Lucky escapes for those around the stage area what with stories of airbourne lighting rigs and speaker stacks burying themselves in transit windscreens. We were right next door to the stage in Malinkies when it hit & it felt like an earthquake.
Poor Rich the organiser looked a broken man last night but full credit to him and everybody else for the Dunkirk spirit and the determination to party on.

It was a tornado/small twister apparantly ..... 
No-one could have forseen that, even with such poor weather generally
Huge congrats to all the rganisers (especially) and the crew for keeping the party going after such an insanely freak event.
I was in the Dance Tent at the time it happened and didn't see the main stage copping it, only the aftermath, but seeing that was shocker enough.

There could so easily have been many more injuries or even deaths, it's a very fortunate miracle that there weren't.

I spoke to a couple of mates who went last night. They were talking about 'the Dunkirk spirit' too
They said they had a great time, all be it hard work and a bit scary at times! Their tent got trashed when some of their mates and a gazebo structure landed on it Mary Poppins style apparently Hi all,
Update on the festie and future plans..
Bearded Theory will be back in 2010 and the dates are May 14th - 16th.
Tickets are on sale at www.beardedtheory.co.uk and are priced at £60.
As you may have read, the tornado thingumnyjig left us deep in financial doodoo but a rallying call went out and there are benefit gigs, tornado tshirts and all sorts going on over the next few months, details are to be found in the forums on the official site.
A couple of benefit gigs are -
Hobo Jones and the Junkyard Dogs, Dan Donnelly, The Pyrates and others - Nuneaton 1st August
Subgiant, Neville Staples and 6 other acts - Guildford Saturday 26th September
Banco De Gaia - Hebden Bridge Trades club - Friday 23rd October
.....all proceeds to Bearded Theory..
We will be continuing to raise funds for Shelter and local hospices..
