*Deep breath*sparklefish said:I accept the explanation but it does not change your OP.
You were sneering, I haven't chosen to misunderstand you.
You described them as 'this gormless thick shit and his equally halfwitted wife'.
Yes it was ridiculous to get into that level of debt I just didn't like you superior attitude in the OP that's all.
Crispy said:Don't be harsh on the poor man. It's his sort of brave spending that's keeping the economy healthy. Give the man a medal for making brown's figures add up!

Did you see the show? Did you see the guy laughing about his debt? Did you see his reaction to being told what he was risking?
The man *was thick* - He failed to grasp that his constant high value spending, rampant consumerism and consumption was stupid. Two consolidation loans- to buy TVs and laptops he wasnt using. Working 70 hours a week to meet repayments.
He ABSOLUTELY was gormless- laughing his head off as his greed and stupidity was revealed. He laughed as unused purchase after unused purchase was brought out from cupboards. And as he was made to open piles of unopened mail from the bank.
He was a shit- risking his family's security to buy things he didnt need and wasnt using.
I say again- this man was not in need. This man was not poor. This man was buying £80 trampolines he could not afford, as a treat for his 8 year girl for behaving herself during the week while being another missed payment away from having the bailiff coming round for real.
Did you see the arrogant c*nt of a bailiff baiting the couple? This foolish man put himself and his family in that position.
See the show did you?SpookyFrank said:I'm sure that TV show was designed to give you an accurate insightinto these two people's lives, I'm sure there was no ulterior motive in the way the program was filmed or edited. I'm sure it's perfectly safe for you to draw such damning conclusions from half an hour of footage.
