I actually thought Colin and Tara's duet was pretty great. In a really weird way.
It was very touching. I loved it.
Parky needs to lighten up. Craig really meant it when he judged tara's performance. Tara is my winner
Poor old Ray, better to go now and not ruin his voice.

they sounded like a pair of nicotine withdrawn old men.

how this is entertainment i dont know, and to treat them as serious singers does a real disservice to actual working singers (who don't get a break on public-funded television such as the bbc - not even for a good cause!).

Richard Park takes himself way to seriously.

'ruin'?

he can't fucking sing! Monotome arythmic droning is not singing (unless you live in a cave in Tibet).

I meant his normal voice for presenting not his singing one:D
By the way, Lemar sounds the same with everything he sings. Its monotonous.

yep. He's got the classic black voice so he will do ok, but modern soul/rnb is crap compared to the old school and his music does nothing for me.

The thing is, i think they have to be judged harshly, essentially, it is a competition and if they all just said nice things about them it would be boring and pointless.

the annoying thing about Richard Park is he gets it wrong every time, and he likes to add in boring details about the time he met Lulu or whatever, and he obviously doesn't really know what he talks about.

Parky seems to live in a world of his own. The past. He thinks he is being impartial but cannot resist thinking up put-downs to make himself look clever and witty. The hate/love relationship with patrick doesn't do the programme any favours. Craig seems quite mild compared to his strictly come dancing remarks.

yeah mainly cos they are both crap at it! they're witty snides at eachother are never witty and patch is just as much of a nob as parky so noone really cares.

i like it when carrie and her husband (name?) have a go at him though.

carrie is hot.:o

indeed.

the judging is pointless because a) its a fun charity affair and b) that's the public's job.

the whole thing is a joke, ironically. Just not a very good one. But it's the usual british 'have a go hero' bollocks innit.

tara and trisha in the final

i'm still betting on Tara to win. "These boots were made for walking" was absolutely fantastic. the personality of tara is a winner for me.

the thing about crap celebs doing it rather than talented members of the gen public, is that watching someone improve through nuances of "good" is dull - possibly cos you can't sit there and think "ooh, I wonder how i'd get on".

see also: strictly come dancing vs dance fever.

i'd like to watch normal people who can't sing or dance being taught from scratch, though.

course she will win, it's so obviously fixed.

though i did enjoy ade edmonson calling parky a charmless idiot with the grace of a dead civil servant.
