I have a Sony Network Walkman (the NW-HD1 model) so is a cpl of years old, I've had it 1.5 years, it has never given me a problem, has 20gb hd so holds 13000 tracks, I've only half filled it thus far.

Downside is Sony software is basic, but you can get it organised to a reasonable level.

Battery is the business, I've had it play constantly for 27 hours.. either through headphones or through the home system the sound quality is exceptional.

And it's a sturdy fella too..

Got given a iPod Video, 30G which I love. Used to have an mPack P600 which was the balls but it got nicked.

That's what I had but it died and they gave me the NWA3000 instead... I preferred the old one, was small, looked good and did the job :(

I got one of these wee things the other day.
Nice, sounds good, seems pretty robust.

Have dropped it and stuff and it didn't grumble - can't say I know much about mp3 players, though.
