Banner of the century so far

The shame should be the fact that football fans still have this level of sectarianism and hatred. Do Rangers fans still fly the star of David at matches and Celtic fans still wear the Palestinian kaffiyeh?

Richard Littlecock said:
I was encouraged on my last visit to Ibrox to see the Israeli flag being flown behind the goal alongside the Union Flag, the Stars and Stripes and the Aussie flag.
Why the Australian flag?

Sorry to disappoint the OP, but this is only the second best banner of the century!

At the Cardiff City v Colchester United game the away fans had a banner which read.

"Fowler may be God, but Teddy is Mohammed"

It was the week of the teddy thing in Kuwait or wherever it was, sorry no pic!

That would get my vote over the one in the OP :D

I come from the west coast of Scotland and this bullshit has been a blight on my life since before I was even born. The last time I got any verbal grief over this shit was at the Urban 75 "offline" night in March when some think cuntwhoresone of a prick decided that because I came from Motherwell and was not saying which team I supported I must be protestant. His mates led him away with him calling me a dirty orange bastard.

For those claiming that one sides biggotry is better than the others, to be honest having faced down both sides in my life, I struggle to distinguish the sublties and nuances of which drunken rant is more acceptable than the other. I have considered changing my policy of refusing to say whether I am Ranger\ Celtic, Catholic\ Protestant to saying Celtic as I reckon there would be far less grief outside of Scotland. Every fucker whos grandmother got drunk on guinness once thinks they are a) Irish therefore b) should support Glasgow Celtic. But I wont because that would be letting the pricks who blight Scottish and Irish society win a small victory.

When your not allowed to go to the same school as your cousens because they are a different religion to you (nominally different my parents had to pick on the two churches to get married in) it kind of leaves you with a feeling there is something fundamentally wrong with that world. It was Glasgow not fucking Soweto or Gazza.

Isreali flag would presumably be there for Avi Cohen and other Isreali internationals who played for Rangers.
Of course there was never any anti-semitic chanting from rival fans.

Its blue and white, presbyterians tend to have a closer relation with Juadism than other christian sects and in Nothern Ireland there is support for the two factions in the Palastinian conflict with the Unionists supporting the Israelis.

I know it's not very appropriate, but this image popped into my head...

As for the Old Firm, a plague on both their houses. Glasgow seems to be the only city on earth that aspires to be Belfast...
