We get corking thunderstorms here. A thunderclap will rattle the whole house for several seconds. I always stay in Chinatown. really handy for pretty much anywhere you want to go. I may be in KL at the end of next month for a few days. Steamboat...yum yum.

I know, that's what I love about Malaysia. One year I was there there was a magnificent storm (all the storms are good, but this was a particularly good one).:D We were in a taxi and both jumped as it was like someone had cracked a massive whip across the sky :cool::cool:

I also enjoy watching all night lightning storms on the Perhentians with the odd clap of thunder that shakes the whole island

Not been to london's chinatown for a while I can see. :D

No, but I bet you can't get Malaysian and Indian there as well. And do they do fried iinsects in London's Chinatown? :hmm:

Don't use nationwide. A mate has just lost his card here and he's having a rare game trying to sort it. I lost my HSBC card and. It was replaced in less than a week and here (posted by family in UK) less than 2 weeks after that.

I agree, Nationwide (or rather Visa) seem to have problems, although I've heard (was it on here) that the problem may have had to do with older ATMs.

HSBC is everywhere, I'd go for an HSBC account, especially if Nationwide are going to start charging

My experience of London's chinatown is good but i have never seen insects. I'll bet you can get them there somewhere.
My mate's nationwide card seems to work but losing it has been a real game for him.
I changed to HSBC before I moved out here to make things easier. That and natwest/RBS are seriously crap.

I'm quite looking forward to a few days in KL but I'll miss my wife and daughter.
