Bangface 35 - 11th August

What an amazing night - such a friendly vibe, I haven't been to anything so friendly in years - I loved SL2 playing old rave toons and Shy FX rinsing out the amens. I left before B12 came on as I 'needed some fresh air' :D What were they like? I have lots of old B12 records but have never seen them live. I'll definitely be at the next one for Krome and Time...

anyway, here's a counterpoint to Bangface. I had a wicked time at the UR party. The film they showed was very poor and it was impossible to concentrate properly when all we wanted was to groove. Matt Chester warmed up nicely with an astonishly self-assured live debut and Suburban Knight and Buzz Goree succeeded with perfect Detroit bangers. After party was a lot of fun, myths about po-faced clean-living UR warriors are just that. You'll have to wait and see the pics of a prominent UR member wearing a balloon animal party hat

oh yeah, and mega props to dynamicbaddog, spanglechick and Monkeygrinder's for making it all the more special.

Yep, UR was excellent.

And I think we have more to thank you for, so cheers.:)

Did you know everyone in there or just most of them?:p

Bangface was a lot of fun :)
Even danced throughout SL2 and Shy FX (who I thought were pretty lacklustre).
Doubtful Guest was un-fucking-believable, arrived in time to see the last 1/2hr of her set and it was blinding.
Pisstank and Simon Underground ripped it up very very hard. I liked that :)
Now looking forward to next time, although someone handed me a flyer for Yardcore 2 at The Telegraph on 22nd September and that has Hellfish and Mu-Ziq playing, among others, and looks set to be heavy as, and I can't do everything...

Hmmm that sounds tempting. The Telegraph is easy walking distance, much better than the two night buses home from Bangface.:)
