It's eight quid - doesn't need too much cash. I had one in the mucky pup and didn't drink in the club last week so it needn't cost much. :)
I won't tell you how much i spent that night :o

ok,I will. Are you ready......

130 fucking quid!!!how did I do that?? :D

I must have lost some or something, but then,I do tend to buy drinks for random strangers :D

My little bro's enthusiasm for this (esp. Remarc!:D) is rubbing off on me... I reckon I'm going to come. I will probably have to jack in DTB tomorrow though...
Let's get it on...

Both parts of that album are excellent

Proper tumbling stuff

Out of all my records, the first of the two albums sounds absolutely fucking corking through my speakers

Was his set at some festy just all the songs from the four disks?

:)

(I've got the promos)

Not sure at this stage.

Funny how this is probably the best lineup of Bangface since the first one in September with Guy Called Gerald, Baby Ford & Vibert and you lot can't be arsed with it, cos it isn't "crazy" enough.....

:D

The line-up is technically excellent, but I'm not sure how many people go for the technical aspect- I know I like going because of the totally insane stuff more than anything else! :D
Hence this one hasn't sparked nearly as many candles as the last few.
I mean, where's the full-on gabba assault?? ;)
I still reckon I'm going to be persuaded, eventually.

I love him but have a really bad track record of ever managing to see him. He either never turns up or something scuppers the night.....

Me neither - due to current student status.

But - Andy Weatherall! I do love 'im.
Is February Urban's poorest month? We all seem to be pleading skintness  :(
It should be good...
Be nice to see you again too!

All the more reason to come to this then :D

It is destined...

I think I might come along to this.

Am I right in thinking that it's a full on insane drugriddlednoisefest?

Cos I'll be annoyed if it's not.

I like to go to listen to decent music.

In all honesty I'm fed up of listening to "novelty" music at Bangface, the majority of the breakcore acts are rubbish IMO, take a silly sample here a silly sample there then add an amen break throw in some 4/4 gabba kicks and just add water.

I'd far rather listen to proper Jungle like Remarc than pseudo wannabe amen-mash-core or whatever it is.

But I like 4/4 gabba kicks. A lot
:o
Some (a lot, maybe) breakcore is indeed rubbish. To be honest, I'm struggling to think of many that I've seen there that I'd class as "novelty", but that could just be selective amnesia...
I'm not a mssive fan of novelty acts either, but Scud was cool, Karl Marxstadt was amazing, and Panacea, well, just awe-inspiring, hard without being (too) stupid is definitely possible IMHO :D
Just not when it's shitmat, what's up with the guy, when he started out he was really good and innovative now he seems to be drunk and shite every time I see him

I got halfway through that post and was going to mention Shitmat, then you got to it first. I actually quite enjoyed his set last week but I think it definitely came under 'novelty act.'

That's fair enough, DJ Scud, Hellfish, Producer are very good at what they do on the gabba front.

I wouldn't describe the above as novelty acts at all, but then you know what I'm talking about anyway.

Let's just say this Bangface should be more "musical" for want of a better word. :D

"Musical", well, yeah, spot on, I think  :D
It'll definitely be quality, but when you get to go out dancing only infrequently (as I do) there's something properly exciting about the prospect of being aurally brutalised for a truly serious 7hour jump-up-and-down-and-spin-it-all-around session ;)

I think you would be right in thinking that, but only if you bring your own drugs, cos I spoke to several people who bought mints at 3 for a fiver  *chortle*

at the last BF shitmat pulled off an excellent set, without a single reboot, and hardly any drunken fuckups, wich was absolute pure fscking joy.

Not only that, but afterwards he went back to back with saint acid. well, they jostled around and elbowed each other off the mixer a few times, which was funny, but then, shitmat started sampling bits off of the (astonishingly good) hardcore tracks that saint was feeding him and then went off on a LIVE SET FRENZY, ADDING SHITMAT JUNGLE BREAKS AND GABBER KICKS. BEST. SET. EVER.

SHITMAT IS MY GOD.

ahem. anyways, am in broad agreement that there won't be quite enough of "le gabbeur" at the next one, but suspect it will be pretty good anyway thx the usual strong party vibes...

Phew, I'm not the only one with a ticket then. :D
RIGHT!
I know I've not committed myself to this yet, but I've just discovered Hecate has been added to the bill.
As has DJ Vibes.

So That makes
Andy Weatherall (Let us pray for storming techno)
Remarc (Rinsing amen roller)
DMX Krew (They tell me he's banging)
Hecate (Breakcore experiMentalist extraordinaire- collaborator with Venetian Snares, Zhark record's prime asset)
Vibes (Ummm yeah.)
Parasite (Yardcore)
Mr 76ix (breakcore, apparently)
Etschaberry (breakcore, apparently)

It's looking increasingly like a very high-quality night out.

I can't wait to get paid...
