Bang Face 9th February

urbanites abound......didn't stay long enough to see anything good, my w/e is far too busy to be out late  but was great to hear all that old rave anthems in Rm2 (michael foreshaw), that is original 'rave energy' for you however awful some people think all that stuff is, it's the real deal. Kid606:confused: given this guy practically invented laptop breakcore it was a little underwhelming, seemed to be playing dodgy hardhse from '94 complete with a hundred dealers trying to sell you everything :p tbh the PA in that place was not on good form, it got the better of me, hope everyone had a good night. for those that wanna hear more tonight, click here

the PA did sound a bit fucked, and it has changed - really pushy dealers, totally rammed, and a lot less of the craziness than usual (unless it was all in rm 2 - i was too fucked to make it down the stairs).

I lost Top Cat, lost any real sense of who i was and shuffled happily in one place for about 6 hours :)

I have vague memories of some really odd dancers with The Bug, with carpet on their heads. Or something

It was my first bangface and I had a great time. I didn't find the dealers pushy really, just well stocked. :) The bug was brilliant. The mc's and dancers were great. You didn't lose me dub, I asked you again and again to share a cab but you wanted to see it through. I got a cab to croydon for £30 too! I discussed armenian and turkish politics all the way back...:D

So ta to pieye for the ticket, to dub for chumming me, nice to met DJ Wrongspeed and good to Kameron again, great chat fella. Volt, you were funny.:)

ah, well i was pretty fucked :D

Ah sorry i missed it and fucked up getting me Tax and Lalu tickets/get there early enough to que! :o

Did get to see Volt, tastebud, etc (and Jerome Hill and Michal Moreshaw, look at me with all the name dropping :D) for drinks before they went in though :)

Ended up checking out the techno night that was on downstairs briefly before heading to Serious Business :D

I got very confused as to where in the club I was at any given time. I had to ask several people for directions to the exit....:o

hardly saw you - were you in the other room? never once made it in there, i'm ashamed to say..
i saw you shuffling... :) when i watched the bug et al, i stood on a seat at the back of the main room. (had a good view). after that i went downstairs.
bangface is more enjoyable with *stimulants* i think. sad but true.
(i didn't have any).

Had a fucking ball.Didn't find either of the Bugs sets really took off which was irritating since I've seen him make a dance floor fly before. Enjoyed Murderbot who turns out to be a pretty chilled guy as well.

All in all I had a ball and it was fucking excellent to see so many many faces out who don't turn up in the free party scene so much any more.

tell me about it. i didn't realise that it was volt who had come to chat to me, for about five minutes of her talking to me. thought she was some randomite.
i left shortly after this confusion.
wasn't even sure how we'd got into the room downstairs. :D

<scared> err what pics are they then?

bangface always has a fantastic pic gallery after the event.

i took a handful. Blurry shite without exception, save for one of Boing, Art of Fact and Wrongspeed

Highlight for me was probably Plaid's set in the main room - love that breaks mix of 'crowd rocker' :D Kid 606 was pretty dissapointing compared to when I've seen him in the past. :( ... and ended up leaving before seeing Murderbot - he was the main reason I was there :(

Still a good night overall though ;)

Actually, i've seen 606 about 5 times and I always think he's going to pull it out of the bag and he never does. But Plaid were great - and a brave choice - the Bug was fantastic, Bong Ra was mental as ever and after that I have no fucking idea what i was dancing to :)

I remember noticing the Bug DJing downstairs - after his main set at some point - and thinking, (had I not been so trashed), it would've been really cool.
