Band's you regret never seeing live

Out of acts i COULD have seen (not having mastered time travel as of yet)

One of my eternal regrets is that I went to see Sham 69 at the Glasgow Apollo rather than The Rezillos a night or two later who, it transpired, had an obscure but up and coming manchester band as support: Joy Division.

Divine. All my mates saw him loads of times. For some fucking reason something always came up so i couldn't go. "oh well, he plays all the time...i'll go next time..."

Stockhausen conducting/performing. Same again. Either been away or found out too late and couldn't get tickets (bespite every attempt at blaggery and bribery to get tickets imaginable).

that's about it really. Think i've pretty much seen everyone else worth seeing. :)

Didn't know it used to be a gay club!

I'm thinking of an area known as "the triangle" (maybe becuase of this club?) up at the top of the steep hill that leads down into the town square ...

My indie/rock time in Bournemouth was spent at The Villa (near ASDA) :)

Galaxie 500 (they were supporting The Sundays - talk about a topsy turvey world)
New Fads (I passed out before they came on stage)
Bob Dylan 1961, 1962,k 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1975, 1976, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981 (wasn't born)

As I was only 15 when The Clash & The Jam split I never had an opportunity to see either of them as they never played anywhere near Hartlepool.
Realistic regrets are Johnny Cash & The White Stripes
At Glastonbury 94 I was knackered(hard work getting round Glastonbury on crutches) on the Sunday so didnt venture along to the ptyramid to watch Johnny Cash
At Glastonbury 2005 I watched Steve Earle & missed The White Stripes

Yeh, I used to live on the Triangle, and that's where the gay club was too.. well, one of them... The Villa was always indie central, although it changed its name a lot.

Hmmmm.

- Nirvana
- Soundgarden
- Genesis with Peter Gabriel
- Led Zeppelin
- Jimi Hendrix
- The Doors
- Faith No More
- Guns n Roses before they became shit

I've seen a number of bands which would have been on this list well after their peak when they'd lost their original power as well.

Bands my mum wouldn't let me go and see:

The Specials (I was 11 - understandable)
Public Enemy (I was 15 going on 16 and she wouldn't let out for the weekend - not fair!)

Was shite for gigs there when I was at Uni :(

...although we did get 80s Matchbox B-Line Disaster at The Old Fire Station - around the time of 'celebrate your mother'

Yeah PE in their heyday is another one for me, I know a couple of people that got to see them on the PE/Anthrax tour too.
