Band's you regret never seeing live

The Smiths, definitely. Couldn't afford to get a ticket until I got paid, by which time it was too late.

I should have borrowed the money. :(

BTW, soj couldn't play the disc I sent her. Does she use a mac?

fucking BOX!!

anyway, here's what i was gonna say:

nope, it's telling me there's nothing on the disc (when i stick it in the laptop) that's what i was gonna do, try and burn it, but both roxio and shitey windows media player said the disc is blank and spat it out!!

i don't usually have a problem playing mp3s on my cd player anyway

you sure you weren't a bit tiddly when you did this? :hmm::p

Hmm.. well I NEARLY sent you two episodes of Shipwrecked by mistake, so something might have gone awry. Or I might not have 'closed the session'.

OK, i'll do it again :D

Few years back my mate thought he'd go and watch N.E.R.D instead of P.J Harvey at some festival or another we were at. Fucking idiot.

Can't think right now but the amount of bands I've missed at festivals while running around the campsite going buck mental is unbelievable. :D

off the top of my head...The Smiths and Nirvana (had tickets for Nirvana but Kurt died a few weeks before gig :()

also, Johnny Cash at Glastonbury. I was there but I probably went to see Cast or Kula Shaker instead :o stupid, stupid boy :(

Oh my, the amount of great bands I've missed due to being lazy or disorganised at festivals is shocking. I mean, taking the bands who have played since I started going to gigs rathert han bands that split up before I could have seen them anyway, I think off the top of my head I really wish I'd seen Faith No More.

Really wish I'd bothered to go see At The Drive-In Before they split :(

e2a: And The Beta Band. My Dad offered to take me to see them, but I didn't really know them then. Big mistake.

I really wish I'd seen Faith No More.

I saw them at the Phoenix Festival in 1993 (?), but hadn't intended to.

At the same festival, I missed seeing The Pharcyde. We drove 600 miles non-stop to get there and see their mid-afternoon set, despite our designated driver having spent the previous night in hospital with a broken arm. (-In retrospect, completely confused priorities. But music is a cruel mistress... :D)

Fortunately I was lucky enough to see both of them.

I'm surprised you missed that boat!

Me, Chezza and Joe went to see 'em on their last ever (?) UK tour in Nov '97 at The Academy  :p ;)

Can't actually think of any I've missed out since I've been gigging ... although missed out on seeing Soundgarden by a matter of months :(

90s
Small 23
Polvo

Also, admit i wouldn't mind catching The Killers next time they play London, if only for Mr Brightside

I missed the Smith's playing in Glasgow :(
but I don't want to see Morrisey playing on his own.
I missed Rolf at Glasto though I did see Johnny Cash.

Not a band but I'm jealous of my Dad cause he saw Laurel and Hardy live on stage at the Glasgow Empire.
They had a set of steps, a plank and a bucket as props and comic timing and the place in uproar laughing.
