Bands you missed and then got into quickly...

i saw neurosis once, with entombed. i got a free ticket, when i did two weeks work at some record label as receptionist when i first moved to london. covering for my brother's bird's mate who was on holiday.

they were quite good IIRC.

Souther Culture on the Skids

I didn't really discover these guys until leaving the southern US. Now I a have left and will never see them perform. :(

If you like the Cramps or Link Ray you will prob like these guys. Avoid the album Dirt Track Date.

alabama 3.

From peoples descriptions i trhought they would be toss so did't bother with em.
saw em at glastonbury and now love em.

Oh ad 2pac. Didn't really like him from the very limited stuff i had heard(basicly changes), second year of uni flat mate opened my eyes.

dave

Now there's a lesson in life, eh dave? :)

Dylan, thought he was shite when growing up, now realise what a genius he really is.

I missed the Smiths the first time round. Admittedly I wasn't very old the first time round, but I didn't get into them until I was a student and they were long gone.

I think it was Steve Lamacq talking about them on the Evening Session that started me off.

I missed The Smiths first time around, gave 'em a go later, and thought they were a bit of mixed bag and not for me (except for a few songs)....however, I do find myself drawn to the grumpy old musings of Morrissey's solo output these days.

I don't have any trouble with Morrissey's solo stuff certainly - I've never understood the whole "oh they're just not the same without Johnny Marr" thing. Never liked Electronic.

Pretty much everything, except Blur, whom I don't listen that much these days.

I've spent about 22 years of my life mostly ignoring music, and then 3 catching up. I guess that explains everything.
