Bands who aren't that good but you still like

How am I?

How come no one's flooding in with their nominations of 'bands that are shit but i still like them and that cos they're nice people'?

Everyone knows this thread is a goner and I'm about to flee this sinking ship aswell!

i was just summerising:p

badly.
they are two different things was my point, not there is one but not the other.
there should be. but the other way round - the guilty pleasure is intellectual cowardice, as is denying any fault with a band or film you like....

well, put it in literature terms. I really enjoy a John Grisham book but I recognise he is no genius and is very thriller-formulaic.

To admit the flaws in a piece of art you enjoy doesn't condemn them to the shitheap, in some ways it can endear the artist to you in a way a piece of brilliance cannot. 'aww, your crap but I love you' ennit.

i see, thing is though dottie I am utterly passionate about the things that I like and dont like. Very decisive. No grey areas ;)

Boyzone actually seem quite funny and self deprecating in interviews.

aww, those quaint irish boys.:p

it's all in their image though innit. Probably written in their contracts to be 'nice' at all times.

Gotta say though, after seeing Shane on a stint on celebrity gladiators be so fucking sexy, I remember he came to eat in a restaurant I worked in wycombe cos he was doing some theatre production, I have to admit i was a little bit starstruck.pmsl!:D

No but they were funny, they weren't boring nice, they were taking the piss out of themselves and that. I liked them.

well like UNKLE was a really good idea, and the videos and artwork and everything was brilliant, but at the end of the day, for some reason it kind of sucked

boyzone was just a rubbish idea

i was more after ambitious failures than stuff that just sucks

Terrorvision. I saw them a few times when I first started going to gigs and they were a laugh, and I still have a soft spot for them, but they were rubbish really.
