Bands that will never reform.

Mmm, not as well known as some of the bands people have mentioned thus far, but I wish that Mantronix would reform - MC Tee to return from wherever he went off to (US Air Force?). Maybe he could convince Curt to stop making all those 'house' records and start making Hip Hop again.

Maybe.

Hopefully.

Possibly.

Doubtful.

:(

And Loose Ends (the original line -up). They made some great records which the later Carl McKintosh version couldn't match.

I think some rules need to be set. Original lineups only (unless stated), band must do a tour and not a one off like Live 8, and deaths obviously don't count.

For my money these bands will never reform again:

ABBA
Genesis
Pink Floyd
Guns N Roses
Wham
60ft Dolls :(
Massive Attack
The Jam
Elastica
Libertines
New Order
Leftfield
The KLF
Candyskins
Sleeper
These Animal Men
Kenickie
Stone Roses
NWA (even without Eazy-E)
Black Grape
The Shamen (with Mr. C)
The Jags
Space
Rocket From The Crypt

Milli Vanilli popped straight into my head.
Although this is another band that has a dead member (I had not followed the news obviously) so does not count.

ABBA - probably too late for them to be convincing, though it would still be worth seeing. Can you imagine the demand for tickets??

Genesis - if you mean the proper version with Gabriel and Hackett rather than the pop version, there was talk of it but it seems to be unlikely now. :(:(

Pink Floyd - I had an offer of a ticket for the 1994 tour and didn't go .... now I really regret that.

Guns N Roses - certainly not if you mean the classic line-up.

Wham
60ft Dolls

Massive Attack - supposed to be releasing a new album shortly, and have just compered a festival on the South Bank at which they played two shows.

The Jam
Elastica
Libertines - anything that gives that pointless cunt Doherty more publicity would be a bad thing.
New Order
Leftfield
The KLF
Candyskins
Sleeper
These Animal Men
Kenickie
Stone Roses
NWA (even without Eazy-E)
Black Grape
The Shamen (with Mr. C)
The Jags
Space
Rocket From The Crypt - they were

Rolling Stones could be down and out now Ronnie's gone AWOL and locked himself in his pub in Ireland!

Primal Scream will have to fill in for them!

Mani was quoted yesterday as saying that only Ian Brown is holding back the reunion, and even Reni, who was the first to piss off, was up for it.

To be honest, even considering I like the things Ian Brown done recently (at least he has a voice to go with his tone-deaf singing), hearing him singing Silvertone-era SR makes me cringe.

I remember the last ever Stone Roses gig - fucking disaster! Reading Festival, mud, sweat and tears - poor little Roses fans, beany hats and flares, stood there all day to watch Ian Brown, backed by a bastardized version of the Roses, nosedive into their own arrogance and explode in an inept cacophony!

I was there, and watched about two minutes of it. Rubbish.
