I love Idlewild. Therefore you need to delete your post or sumthink.

They're playing a festival I'm going to in September. Doubt if I'll watch them, but I'm sure they'll be just sort of...there.

Dead/not dead (ie probably dead):

  • The Wonderstuff

still going, albeit with only two original members (miles hunt and malcom treece) - obviously the bass thing can't be in them, and nor can gilksy - but from what i've read when gilksy was alive he was pissed off with miles and malc going around calling themselves the wonderstuff and didn't want to be part of it.

Doves. I actually like them quite a lot, I think they're a really decent band. They're hard to love or hate though.

Super Furry Animals – I know loads of people love 'em but, for the life of me, I can't remember the name of one single solitary thing they've ever done.

Echobelly. There's another one. Know why I remembered them? Because Sean Keaveney played a track of theirs on his shitty, shitty show this morning.

The man, if indeed he is a man, seems to be on a mission to play only tunes that have the aural presence of a wet string mop. Please somebody, sack him now.

I think I might have a winner...full press release below:
