I'm just bitter because I got a Ramones t-shirt from an actual gig long before they became fashionable. Someone once came up to me in the street and tried to buy it from me. Since they started to get sold everywhere its not special anymore and I won't wear it now.

Not like I'm a snob or anything ;)

the only band t-shirts i still wear are some i bought off a chap who was selling some fine vintage 70s/80s shirts on ebay - so i have an excellent stranglers shirt, a pink floyd - the wall shirt (got that for the design, i love ralph steadman. can't bring myself to write 'i hate' above the pink floyd logo yet), a bowie glass spiders shirt, a jam - the gift shirt, and erm... a rainbow shirt, with a guitar neck appearing out of a fantasy castle. don't really wear that one though...

that reminds me...i have a Fear & Loathing In Aspen t-shirt...not a band but way cooler cept that's it's yellowing and has washed out 2 sizes too big

in fact that happens to all US-made t-shirts. maybe it's an inbuilt design that allows the fabric to stretch over the years to allow room for the mcdonalds consumed or something

my offspring t needs a couple of poles and a some guy-ropes and would then be if some use

'kin hell. That's most of mine and Flashman's wardrobe in the bin then!! We've got a three drawer chest of drawers full of them!! I'm still a proud wearer of band t-shirts although these days when I sling on a Pearl Jam t-shirt, if someone stares at it I'm more likely to think they're trying to work out who Pearl Jam are rather than acknowledging a fellow fan :(

i read an interview with someone once, can't remember who, but they wre at a party and got speaking to this model who was wearing a motorhead t-shirt. the guy asked her if she liked them and she said "yes they make really good clothes" or something like that. she thought motorhead was the clothing label and didn't have a clue that they were a band. :D

(i don't really own a motorhead or ramones t-shirt, by the way ;) )

I used to have loads, then stopped buying them at all, and now, have the odd one.

Still including the Ozzy Osbournes Blizzard of Oz one, bought on October 19 1980, at my very first gig.

Still fits too, with a couple of teeny alterations....

no band t shirts but i have one if the original Trade t shirts that is now worn so thin that i can see through it

I, in a moment of fanboy* madness, bought my first band T-shirt for years the other night.

I purchased a size small, Broken Family Band t-shirt which sports the legend:

I *heart* the Broken Family Band

Except the *heart* bit is really an actual heart shape

I have worn it.

:)

LOL, yep, that's the only time it strikes me too. :o :D

It's almost as if those guys running the band's merchandise stall know exactly when I'll be at my weakest... ;)

Used to wear RATM T-shirts. Still have their Che T-shirt somewhere which may get warn come the summer.

Still have an Anti-Nazi League gig T-Shirt.

The only band tshirt ive got left is an Orb Glasto 93 one that glows in the dark. Its full of holes but it was my first glasto so I cant throw it out :)

Oh yeh ive also got a bright yellow PWEI long sleeve football type top somewhere too. Thats in mint condition coz I only wore it once before deciding bright yellow wasnt my style (ill have to dig that out now ive remembered it as I love wearing bright yellow these days).

Loads of 'em :D I prefer to wear obscure or local bands though in the vain hope that someone will ask me about them and I can think that I'm really cool because I know good bands that other people don't (I'm so sad :()

I don't really like bands anymore and the fanboy t-shirts of electronic music are a bit spoddy so I don't really bother.
I've got a lot of silly t-shirt with daft slogans on, which I now feel a bit embarrassed about. I am getting too old for them but I will probably buy the odd t-shirt again, but I'm preferring the short sleeved shirt at the moment - not a proper shirt - what are they called? You lnow, like t-shirts, but with collars and a few buttons?

I have a King Prawn one from about ten years ago that I quite like, and probably a few others kicking around. Actually I have one of the yellow Sepultura imitation Brazil football shirt jobs somewhere as well.

It's been a long time since I actually bought one though. It wouldn't feel right in a new one.

i used to wear a pink floyd dark side of the moon t shirt as a night dress, when i was 5
:D

only just realised what it was but it was my favourite thing in the world

only got 1 band t shirt now, its a zero7 one i bought at their gig 18 months ago and i love it because of the design which has their name in it but its not appaerent at first.

Egads! I have four drawers full of band (and other) T-shirts, plus another two drawers full at the oldies. Many were bought at gigs or festivals and a few because I likes the band at the time.

I've stopped buying so many now, otherwise I'd be overrun! As it is, I seem to have everything from... no I'm not going to say, that would be embarrasing! :o

I wear a T-shirt every day for work as the dress-code is like that. At my old place, they used to have a wager every morning to guess which one I'd be wearing that day! :D

<No Motorhead or Ramones, though>

I've got a few but don't tend to wear them a great deal.

Ones like Iron Maiden, Metallica, Soundgarden, etc.

My Ramones one I got from EBay not H&M. I don't think I've ever been in an H&M.

Just thought I'd refresh this ancient thread to impart the essential information that I now also own a fabulous Red Sparowes shirt, and have a share in a Made Out Of Babies one too (ran out of money). Both bought at their gig last week, which was fucking ace.

You just get cooler and cooler.Mind you , you had a head start with that tattoo

Just got me ( not a band ) a Vince Ray T-shirt, love his work

Bless you! Nobody ever calls me cool.

I've got a shirt with a superb Vince Ray print on the back, a 'Cherry Girl' devil woman sitting atop two cherries looking saucy.

I have a Cheesecake Truck t shirt but I don't tend to wear it very often, mainly 'cos its getting a bit tight for me more than anything though. I'm sure I used to have loads of others but they all seem to have been lost/fallen apart.
