:) Tho i have tried some nice ones from either aldi's :

Yeah Aldi's are O.K,
the Tescos/Sainsburys value one's are rank - hard as pellets and too much watery sauce.
Heinz is my favourite though - reassuringly expensive;) :D

Not too fussy bout beans. If i buy value ones then I jus pour out little bit of the bean juice, add a bit of ketchup, some pepper course ground black of course and a ickle bit of tabasco.. Bake bean heaven!

When I was little I thought they were 'bacon' beans and refused t eat them on account of them being haram :o

I must remember next time .... cheap baked beans are really rather good if you wash off the tomato sauce and use them with other ingredients.

.

we eat tesco beans mainly cos thats where we shop

not a fan of heinz or other brands, too yucky

Ahh yes. I often have the urge to empty out the cupboards with endless combinations of fancy ingredients to 'spice up' the beans!

Instead of ketchup though, I frequently use HP sauce! Its just got more spice about it.

Like Spanglechick, I always but the reduced sugar and salt versions, either Sainsburys or Heinz. Sometimes put some Worcester sauce in for some tang.

Oh. My. God. Apparently Heinz are developing an 'instant beans on toast'
What the fuck is wrong with people
Beans on toast is already a quick easy snack, how lazy do you have to be to think 'I can't be arsed to heat some beans and toast some bread. I'll just put this bean sandwich in the toaster instead.'?

i would be up for the reduced salt/sugar/organic versions but im on a low budget..might try whole earth beans soon as a few people seem to think they are worth splashin out for:D

AFAIK ive ONLY tasted tesco bargain brand beans..... they used to be 9p now they are 15p..i never ate baked beans til fairly recently and tesco is the nearest supermarket..my flatmate just told me that LIDL beans are the same price as tesco cheapies and contain much higher bean content as opposed to watery sauce(which i normally drain away)

i normally fry some onions and garlic in oil before cooking the beans and adding fresh basil:p it is really not bad at all..should have it more often so i can drink more red wine with my tasty beany treat

eurgh...I don't eat baked beans that often but last night as a hurried meal I had a can of tesco beans and veggie sausages on 3 Somerfeild potato waffles....disgusting both of them...:(
