the band are on at 11 at the earliest, i've been told

Way to late for a Sunday before starting back at work:(

Please let them play again on a saturday....

Well that was fun. Bit tired today mind.

BTTP were on good form - quite amazing really given the interlude - and played pretty much the set you'd expect.... they seemed quite chuffed that loads of peeps had come out to see them :)

P.A.I.N were tops as usual.

Yawn.... Monday morning...

That was a fantastic night! :)

Every time I'd ever been due to see P.A.I.N. before, probaby about 6 or 7 times at various gigs or festies over the past decade, they'd every single time cancelled/not turned up .. so last night was scarcely believably the first time I'd ever seen them. But I liked em!

BTTP played pretty much all the old tunes, and really well I thought. I've always liked Sleepless Nights best -- lovely to hear it again. As B & S says, they seemed pretty much on form throughout, they also seemed to be enjoying themselves hugely ...same with the audience which was huge and happy. Lots of smiles on peoples' faces all over. I hope the success of this gig is a positive sign for future happenings. Fil did say 'see you again' at the end ...

Get yerselves to some festivals next year folks! :) ;)

Good to see Lisa there, and Dub, and to meet sheriff rosco for the first time, but not too many Urbanites overall ...

WOW BTTP far play... Fil looked sooooo happy with a grin ear to ear and so did Guy... but fuck me sidewaise Henry man stole the show for me for one simple reason, this is a man that gave up drummin SOLD his kit (which says alot) and the dude did not drop a beat all night /shakes the man by the hand

Good turn out all in all but as william said not many urbanites and the 11.20 start for BTTP did not help for some as getting home was a problem... lets hope we can drag them out again.

One last thing far play to the siren DJs upstairs who even though played to an empty room (we all new this would be the case) they still rocked it and played as if they where infront of ten thousend /pat on back (i love you guys):)

Is henry 'DAVE the drummer' who makes horrible hard techno? (I seem to remember Julian Liberator who I vaguely know telling me this once).

Yep, and Guy is Geezer, and there's other combinations from BTTP as well (Audio Pancake etc)

I had no idea until last night about the Dave the Drummer/BTTP connection. I've only been at a Liberator set once :o , and a D the D set not at all, I was under the impression that Dave the Drummer really was (still) a drummer. I mean in his D the D guise -- you know drumming to banging choons :p , that sorta thing, was what I imagined ... :o :o

That is bollocks mate, check out some of his stuff on Apex, Hydraulix, his minimal stuff, he's a very versatile producer..

Well that was fab...

Today i can't hear, my head hurts and i feel awful. That'll teach me to get pissed on a sunday night. No stamina anymore. I've got loads to do today and i haven't done anything yet :D

It was like walking into some strange time vortex and coming out in the mid 90's, apart from all the faces were a bit older and more knackered looking :D

Met loads of people i haven't seen for years. Was great. PAIN and the Planets were on top form. Great set of crowd pleasers. Fil didn't stop smiling throughout. The band were really tight even with 3 guitarists :D Was sweet that Fraggles mum came along too.

I was trying to talk Fil and Guy into doing Beautiful Days and Endorse it in Dorset, so here's hoping...

We had to leave straight after the Planets, before the northern border shut;) , which was a shame because i fancied a boogie with William who was getting on down with his bad self on the dancefloor in grand stylie :D

Had to butt in; the band were stunning last night - and "Please Don't Fight" is even more relevant today. Bought it all back - Fil's voice - it's a fucking wonder - a massively required dose of fresh air for the Snow Patrol/Coldplay age. BTTP for 2007? Why not? Let's make it happen,...

MORE GIGS PLEASE!!

(And to see Fraggle again made my night, with his mum, he made her proud. And little Al, and Al, and the lot of you. Welcome back).

Slightly frenetic return journey, mind, but that's another story, not for here...

That'll teach you to go too much up front an too near the speaker stack, love! :p ;)

(My ears are still singing too :o )

That makes me sound more hardcore than I am -- I left about ten minutes after you! Sunday night gigs/parties are wrong, takes a LOT to get me out on a Sunday evening ...

But that one was so right. Want the band to do festies! Please!
