Back to The Planet@ Redstar, December

I've just heard that the Planets are playing the Redstar on December 10th

Will be good to see them playing again. They were always a great live band :)

They're still going!? I remember seeing them years ago (around 1991 I think)...

nah, senser were a bit poo! just too metal, but not convincingly so. And the wailing girl was really annoying.

i thought they were pretty good, their first album was ace. "no comply" was a wicked song. they were brilliant at glastonbury...95? 96?

Digs out multiple 'Who's Fuckin' Planet' t-shirts

I don't know where my who's fuckin planet t shirt has gone :( . I loved that t shirt too...wore it man and boy. granted, it might have whiffed a bit, and as i grew in stature might have arguably been too small, but I loved it all the same....

*weeps*

I'd like to see BTTP again, for i thought that they were good, ad I'd have gladly had Fil Planet's babies if it weren't for the fact that she's a girl, and I'm, erm, not.

Can you make it to London for this gig bus?

it being a sunday dows make it a bit of a pain in the bum, but december's nay looking 3 bad at the mo, so is a definate possibility, aye fella:)

and cheers for the offer!!

tbh, I'd heard that they'd reformed several times over the past few years, but always just put it down to chinese whispers. Going to this gig woul just be such a bastard for me to organise, but I'm really tempted in case this really is just a one off

I got nicked for wearing that 'who's fuckin planet!' t-shirt.
Initially I thought it might have been the grammar police.
In a railway station at Christmas time and the copper comes legging it up the platform and halts my departing train.
Hauls me off the train and holes me up in a room of the British Transport Police.
Held me for a couple of hours while a photographer (who doubled as Good Cop) took a series of photos.
Altogether a very bizarre incident.
My mate wrote to the band detailing the debacle, in return got a prompt and sound letter from Fraggle, who to his credit said he would front any legal costs.
The police didn't pursue it.

This gig is fully confirmed and will have P.A.I.N supporting along with MotherFunk DJs and Siren Soundsystem upstairs -- the band are not re-forming and this is purely a one off gig -

Senser were much better than them though.

Were Back to the Planet in the Senser/RATM mould? Not a band I ever heard, but I always imagined them to be a Levellers type band. :o

not really - more kind of keyboard / ska festy style. certainly not in any way rock like Senser or (spit) RATM.. and not folky like the levellers either
