Back to the Future 1 - Ace.

Back to the Future 2 - Even more acererrrer.

Back to the Future 3 - Wank.

"GREAT SCOTS!"
I'm glad to find someone else who appreciates bttf2 for what it's worth, although I'm not sure whether "acerer" or "as ace" would be appropriate.

3 might as well not have happened.

Right now I'm not sure if I can vote because I haven't seen it for about 15 years and I can't remember if I liked it. It doesn't really appeal now but I might love it. So at the mo it's a no but

spacemonkey,

Controversial, surely?

BTTF 2 is shite. BTTF3 is ace!

Matt

Nah, I agree with SM. I like all 3 films, but if one was going to be named as crapper than the others, it would be 3.

In many ways 2 is the best of the 3 - especially the fucked up dystopia that they find themselves back in in the 'alternative' 1985.

1 is the most complete film though.

One of the best trilogies ever, although they do slip a bit as they go along (I'd give them 9, 8.5, 8 out of ten in order of release).

One thing I've always wondered - in the first film, when Biff's gang say to the jazz guy "Beat it, spook", and all the other guys get out of the car, was 'spook' a former-day racial epithet, or are they suggesting that the jazzy guys are undercover cops?

I love Back to the Future and I hadn't even been born when the first one was made!

I would buy a Delorean, the outatime numberplate makes it on to my eBay watched list quite frequently :o

And I like both 2 and 3 but would have to say I prefer 3

Back to the Future is made of many types of win! Aqua, I'm afraid you are utterly, completely wrong on this one! :p;)

Back to the Future is fantastic! I liked the first one best but would still watch the other two again quite happily. :)

Try watching it again aqua, it may grow on you.

I didn't realise I was enjoying it so much until I inadvertently said 'Where we're going we don't need roads' along with Doc

meh ...

I seem to have watched it - but then I'm a TV junkie ...

pleasant enough.

I don't watch films much ...

Unbelievably good. Christopher Lloyd is superb, as is Michael J Fox, and the "Johnny B. Goode" sequence is a joy to watch again and again.

To paraphrase, "you might not like it, but your kids are going to love it".

seen all 3 films. was very unentertained, unimpressed and underwhelmed.

...that's because there were no vampires in them. :p

They are not my favourite films in the world, but I thought they were clever, charming and good fun. The first one gets extra points for introducing potential mother/son incest to a family film.

...that's because there were no vampires in them. :p

well films I like without vampires =

Pandoras Box
The Blue Angel
Mr Hulot's Holiday
The Birds
Vertigo
Belle de Jour
Amalie
The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie
American Werewolf in London
The Ring
Ju-on
The Wicker Man
King Creole
Suspiria
Reds
Bonnie & Clyde
Soldier Blue
Mulholland Drive
Inland Empire
Haxan: the witch
The Witches
Twin Peaks Fire Walk With Me
Land and Freedom....

It helps to have vampires in, and even crap vampire films can be good, but there are such things as good films without vampires.:)

Of course, films with witches, ghosts and werewolves are good too:cool:

All the Back to the Future films make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. :)

For my money the second one is the best. The idea of taking the main characters and placing them in scenes from the first film, fucking genius IMO.
