Sure, but it was just slightly different to what was going on in London by then. Ratty's sound was definitely a Midlands vibe :) Jungle techno was a northern thing too, mostly. Pure junglism was starting to happen in London by then

Yeh it's weird ain't it? I connect more with the northern jungle techno than I do the ragga formulaic stuff from London. Ultimately I think the sound of Ratty, Top Buzz, even Doc Scott reflected London's darkness and paranoia than did people like Hype and Randall. Really weird isn't it?

ska invita you ever felt that Jungle/dnb was less a representation of London than it was the UK as a whole?

Also saw Liam Howlett from the prodigy DJ a couple of times. He never classed himself as a DJ, but was very fucking good on the odd occasion that he would spin.
