Avon Skin So Soft - stockists

Nonsense, I've tried all of that, none of it works. Autan, Jungle Formula and all the rest - useless

I'm telling ya, DEET works!

Perhaps the ones you used had low concentrations? I've got some mega-concentrated stuff I got in Australia and they don't come near me when I've got that on.

I've used Autand Jungle Formula and other brands. No good.

I obviously taste nicer than you :p

Deet is the most effective & reliable thing on the market FTM but it would be a bit much to say it works. Even at high concentrations, a few insects will still get through.

It is true that you can get preps with much higher concentrations abroad. Although they are not that much more effective than the high-strengh preps sold here. If you are using them, I hope you are not planning on having kids anytime soon. :(

Autan uses something else. It is better than low-concentration DEET but not as good as the higher strength preps

This is also true & is the basis for our research - Some people are naturally attractive whilst others naturally repel. We have isolated & identified the compounds involved & developed a repellant from the most effective of them.

We could also develop one hell of an attractant if we wanted - Just for fun like! :D :D :D

Is it true that mossies don't like people with a lot of B12 in their system - those who eat a lot of marmite for example?

Or is that a myth?

It is true to a point. Eating B-complex does produce chemicals in your skin that will repel insects.

However, the amount of marmite or other b-rich foods you would need to eat to maintain any sort of viable repellance would run into kilos, every day, so the practicalities make it a bit of a non starter.

oh man, i hate avon....

I do like Marmite. But not that much!

No thanks, I don't want lots of men after me as well :o

I think I must be v attractive to biting insects.. covered in bites after my holiday.. in places where I'm surprised they could get to

Yet my cousins sat in the same places as me, and didn't get any bites. Maybe it is the English diet..
