Australian Prime Minister - Wet Cry Baby?

Has anyone else noticed that Kevin Rudd seems to be coping pretty badly with the Victoria fires emotionally?

Just about every interview I've seen with him he's been lost for words and on more than one occasion on the verge of tears. Of course the bush fires are a terrible tragedy but get a fucking grip, Kev. You're the PM, not an old woman in Victoria who just lost her poodle. Grow a fucking backbone and deal with it. I'd be pretty pissed off if I were an Aussie and this spineless tit kept popping up to blub on TV. He's like a rabbit caught in the headlights of a fast approaching car. Even Bush managed to show personal strength when the towers came down with far greater loss of life than has been the case in Oz.

Some may say he's displaying empathy with the victims. Perhaps, but I see him as a snivelling lightweight schoolkid who's just had his bike nicked.
Better that than what the reaction of the previous incumbent in office, that nice John Howard fella, would have been: not a sign of emotion or sympathy whatsoever, more concern for material losses than human cost, and claims that the fires were started by drunk aboriginals or illegal immigrants.

Who voted for this prick and why?
Because the other candidate was a motherfucking cunt?

I think Spy would have preferred it if Rudd blustered on about 'kicking that fire's ass' whilst slapping his thigh.

YEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAA!

you tit

he's reacting quite reasonably in the face of appalling circumstances

Is he fuck, he's all at sea. And please don't call me names.

Wonder if the OP would have said the same if the PM had been a woman. Even Thatcher cried!!

Once again for the hard of thinking, it's not just the crying, it's his inability to communicate effectively due to his emotional state.

I thought he was wonderful! And it was lovely that a politician showing actual emotion, he went round talking to survivors, and wasn't flanked by fuck loads of police and shit.

Showing your emotions is a sign of weakness is it? I found it endearing

I think it's impressive that an elected leader is showing such an enormous amount of emotion as it shows he cares about his country and the people.

He should not be condemned for it as those bushfires are horrendous and it's a terrible disaster. I can't imagine Gordon Brown behaving like that, the hard nosed fucker.

I actually warmed to him because of it tbh

^^^^ This

But then I cry at good chord changes.

I think it's refreshing to see some genuine emotion in a politician. It (probably) shows that he really cares.

Wimps. No wonder we lost the empire.

The fires were blamed on Australian 'Islamists' by Simon Derby, deputy leader of the BNP, on Tommy Boyd's phone-in last night, on Play Radio UK 2, from what I've read elsewhere!

I think that it's OK for him to get all emotional about the fires. I just watched him speak (on You Tube) in mandarin and he comes across as intelligent and articulate.

Well after watching some of the interviews with the survivors I will admit to feeling a tad emotional so fair play to him.

What those poor sods have been through, well you would need to be a cold hearted bastard not to be moved by it.

His upset was genuine. Give me that over the bullshit crocodile tears most Politicians like to turn on and off like a tap.
